Raleigh Register": Services Set Today For George Dickens -- Whitesville -- Funeral services for
.                                 George Dickens, 50, of Orgas, who died Friday evening on a Red Parrot Coal Company returning from work to his
.                                 home, when he suffered a heart attack, will be conducted at the home today at 3 p.m.  The Rev John Cowley will
.                                 officiate at the services, and burial will be made in the White Oak Cemetery at Orgas.  Dickens was a member of the
.                                 United  Mine Workers and was employed by the Red Parrot Coal Company.  He is survived by his wife Ivory Dick-
.                                 ens and the following children: Mrs. Maggie Wilson, Keith; Mrs. Gladys Snodgrass, Fred; Mrs. Madeline Ferrell,
.                                 Miss Dorothy Dickens, Jesse Dickens, Frank Dickens, Woodrow Dickens, Wilbur Dickens, and Van Dickens, all at
.                                 home.  One brother, Daniel Dickens, of Keith, also survives.

.                                 dren.  Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Valley Funeral Home, Whitesville, with the Rev. David Cook officiating.
.                                 Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.  Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
