. Goad. Lawrence was a man who valued family above all else. A US Army Veteran having served during the Korean
. Conflict, he was dedicated to being a devoted husband to his wife of 57 years and a loving father to his children. Law-
. rence was always jolly, but he was his happiest at family gatherings. He loved an opportunity to joke, tell stories, and
. laugh. He spent his later years gardening, watching westerns, and enjoying the company of his grandchildren. Lawrence
. was also a devoted Christian, who loved reading his Bible and attending Herndon Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Goad
. was always a pleasure to be around and he leaves behind many who will miss the laughter of Lawrence, Daddy, or
. Pawpaw. Lawrence was a former salesman for Mullens Hardware and having last worked for McKinney Furniture,
. Mullens. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Betty Goad; daughters, Darlene McKinney and her hus-
