1122 Elswick Hughett,8 ? 112 (Pleasant,7,William,6,William,5,William,4,?John,3)
Elswick was most likely the unknown male Hughett, who m Mary Elizabeth ____, who remarried to Andrew Low. See census'
below. His mother was Delitha (Litha) ____, who was prob the wife of Pleasant Hughett. The fact that a younger Pleasant
Hughett was apparently the son of Elswick adds weight to this theory. Also there are no other likely Hughett male candidates
for this unknown Hughett in the 1870 and 1880 census', except Elswick. Proof of the identity of the "unknown" father of the
children below might be obtained from Aaron Hughett's and John R. Hughett's social security applications ($27 each).

This site has the birth and death dates of the above John R. Hughett incorrectly assigned to John David (J.D.) Hugh-
ett, b 16 Aug 1893 Limestone Co, Tex, s/o John Leander Lafayette Hughett (#215). That family was more dis-
tantly related to this Hughett family and were from Jefferson Co, Tenn, and moved to Grimes Co, Tex in the early
1890's. Additionally, this site confused the above John R. Hughett with John Hughett (#11142), b 15 Jan 1895
Tenn, d 1 May 1975 Kenton Co, Ky, who lived in Whitley and Harlan Co's, Ky.
